Dear Paw Paw Families & Staff, Paw Paw School will be closed today Wednesday, February 2nd due to inclement weather and poor driving conditions. There will be no remote learning today for any K-8 students. Today’s hot lunch (taco salad) will be served tomorrow. There will be no transportation for high school students to Indian Creek, you will be excused or can remote into your classes for the day. Good Morning Due to the extreme temperatures this morning our busses are not running properly and we will not be able to pick up bus students for school. If your student was already picked up on the bus they will be brought to school but you will need to make arrangements to pick them up after school. For all other bus families please make arrangements to bring your students to school today. If you are unable to bring your student to school please call the office and let us know. This will be an excused absence and all work will be able to be made up. For high school students, there will be an Indian Creek bus here at Paw Paw School to take students to Indian Creek. That bus will leave at 8:15. If you are unable to be here by 8:15 to catch the bus to Indian Creek please call the Indian Creek office and let them know you will not be at school today. We apologize for the very late notice and any inconvenience this has caused for our families.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM / PTO MOVIE NIGHT POSTPONED Dear Paw Paw Families, We are contacting all of you to let you know that we will be postponing the Christmas Program scheduled for this Friday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m. PTO will also be postponing their movie night scheduled for Saturday, December 11th. Our students have been working hard on their songs for the Christmas program, and we want as many to be able to participate as possible. The Christmas program will be rescheduled for Friday, February 4th at 6:00 p.m. Our students will still perform their Christmas songs, and will also have a few new songs to sing for you as well! Both the 5th grade and the junior high bands will also perform. PTO will notify families when a new date has been set for their movie night. School Closing (Snow Day) TEST ALERT This is a TEST for Paw Paw Schools. In the event of inclement weather Paw Paw Schools will notify families and staff, as soon as possible via phone, email, Facebook, and the district app. We will also post the closings on the following radio/TV stations: WGLC, WLBK, WDBK, WSPY (AM/FM) WRHL (AM/FM), WTVO, WIFR, & WREX. If you know of someone who did not receive this alert and should have, please have them contact the school office to update their information. Thank you.

We will be conducting a School Closing (Snow Day) test alert on Friday December 3rd at 3:30. We will be sending the test out on all of our normal alert systems (phone, email, facebook, school app). Please watch for this alert on December 3rd at 3:30. If you do not receive notification via one or more of these systems please contact the school office on Monday to update your contact information. Congratulations to the Paw Paw Junior High Soccer Team for their win tonight! They play Hinkley-Big Rock in the soccer Championship game tomorrow 10/13/21 at 4:30 at Newark High School. The address for the game is 413 Chicago Rd. Newark, IL 60541. We hope you can make it to the game to help cheer on the Bulldogs as they compete for the Championship title tomorrow!
