Paw Paw Schools celebrated Veteran's Day by having members of the Paw Paw American Legion Post speak to students. Retired Master Sargent David Smith along with other members of the Legion spoke of their experiences as a soldier. Students described their thoughts of the meaning of the day. The presentation concluded with a demonstration of how to fold the American Flag and what each fold represents. According to "The Sons of the American Revolution" the triangular folded flag is symbolic of the tri-corner hat worn by the Patriots of the American Revolution.
